Music photography
with emotion and depth
Armed with a lifetime of concert-going and an eclectic taste in the many genres of guitar music, in 2025 I decided it was finally time to stop looking in from the outside. Having no particular musical ability, and with a singing voice more suited for audiobooks, I found instead a talent for taking interesting, true-to-the-experience photographs.
Driven by a desire to fight back against the AI menace, my images are honest yet beautiful representations of the artist, their fans and the venue. I’m a firm believer that concert photography is a form of portraiture.
Shooting a gig starts long before I get to the show. Without serious research and a clear understanding of the artist’s visual and aesthetic history, showcasing their performance becomes so much harder.
And then there’s the turnaround… Fast, for a meaningful impact on the artist’s tour, album launch or PR, but balanced with consistent high quality images.
Most of my work has been in Norwich, London and the East of England, but I’m happy to travel throughout the UK.
